Our service acts as an escrow agent for deals involving cryptocurrency assets, digital products (software development, digital goods, contract work) and information.
An escrow deal is a way to protect both the buyer and the seller when there is no trust between the parties. An escrow deal guarantees a 100% prepayment that is held in the Coins.Black escrow account until the contractor has fulfilled all their obligations and the customer has received the goods or service.
As a disinterested party, we ensure an objective review of the circumstances of the deal and release the funds to the contractor (seller) only after the fulfilment of its terms has actually been confirmed.

How it works

1. The customer and the contractor, in the presence of the escrow agent (usually a Telegram chat), agree on the terms of the deal.
2. The customer transfers the deal amount to the escrow agent’s deposit (we accept cryptocurrencies and traditional money).
3. The contractor fulfils the terms of the deal, and the customer confirms that they have been fulfilled.
4. The escrow agent releases the payment to the contractor.

How much it costs

For handling a secure deal we charge from 0.5% to 3% of the amount.
The final cost depends on the complexity of the deal: for a digital product the service fee is usually 0.5%–1% of the amount; if the deal involves assessing the results of intellectual activity, the fee is 3%.
If you are a regular client of our exchange service and have reached the maximum discount percentage, your fee for handling any deal will be 0.5%.

If something goes wrong

Arbitration team

The Coins.Black arbitration team will help settle the dispute by carrying out an independent review of the situation. The decision is made solely on the basis of confirmed facts. As an independent party, we have no interest in ruling in anyone’s favour.

Arbitration court

If the parties cannot come to an agreement between themselves, either party may apply to the Arbitration Court at the ANO «Pravosudie», with which we cooperate. The court will carefully examine all the circumstances of the dispute and issue its ruling within a few days. The court’s ruling is binding on all parties to the dispute and, under the laws of the Russian Federation, is not subject to appeal.
